​Storytelling has been a passion of mine since the day I spoke my first words. It all started as a teenager, and I went to MGM Florida for the first time. The backlots fascinated me, but then I visited the "Monster Sound Show" attraction, which explored how sound effects were created for films and television by inviting four guests to participate as foley artists and create sounds for a horror-comedy short featuring Martin Short and Chevy Chase. I.was.hooked.

 

As a teenager, I had all the big dreams, but not all the big money. My dreams for video and sound production would have to wait. I visited my dream college in Winter Park, Florida, which, combined with the MGM experience, kept my fire lit for the future. Dreams can be answered, but not always on our timeline.

 

Since I was a teenager, I worked hard at many manual jobs to get life experience and chart my course.  I went on to focus on Information Security, where I have worked my way up to a senior cybersecurity engineer at some of the world's largest and most demanding companies. I love my job, but the passion for AV never fizzled. I worked hard through my career and now have a graduate degree in Creative Writing for film and Cinematography. On the side, I filmed weddings for decades and created fun videos and my own Foley along the way. Thank you, MGM!

 

While I still have (and love) my cybersecurity career, I enjoy documentary filmmaking and screenwriting in my spare time. I have just released a story about the Missouri State Penitentiary - One of the most brutal prisons to exist in the United States. I have many more locations and ideas to come!
